Wagner Ferrero was born in 1956, in Altinópolis, state of São Paulo, in a coffee-growing region. Ferrero carries a passion for coffee culture in his veins. Grandson of Italian immigrants who arrived in Brazil in 1912 to work in the coffee plantations, Ferrero is today one of the largest producers of high-quality coffees from Brazil, grown on over 550 hectares, planted exclusively in the Cerrado Mineiro Region. At “Fazenda Pântano”, he produces with 148 different varieties, among which stand out the Yellow Catuaí, Ibarê, Topázio, Caturra, Acaiá and two exclusive varieties, UVA (125 IAC) and the Yellow Bourbon (LC 30-10). Ferrero makes use of the latest technology to produce coffees with high quality and sustainability, so that he recently received of a National Magazine an Award of sustainability in the category of perennial cultivars.

The Cerrado Mineiro Region is a world recognized high quality coffee producing origin - the first “Designation of Origin” in Brazil, located in northwest of Minas Gerais State. Having well-defined seasons - a hot, wet summer and a pleasantly dry winter - is a strong characteristic of the region. The coffee plantations are cultivated in areas with altitudes varying between 800 and 1,300 meters, the result being high quality coffees with a unique identity. The coffees are “Origin and Quality Guaranteed” by the Cerrado Mineiro Region - D.O. Regulatory Board
